Police Distribute Hand Sanitizer to Drivers in Tanjungpinang, Residents Asked Not to 'Mudik' First

TRIBUNBATAM.id - A number of Tanjungpinang Police Traffic Unit personnel were seen crowded in the intersection of Jalan Basuki Rahmat, Bukit Bestari District, Tanjungpinang, Friday (4/17/2020) morning.

Not because there was a vehicle raid, this Satlantas personnel carries out caring activities in the prevention of Covid-19.

The concern is done by giving hundreds of hand sanitizers to motorists.

The personnel of the Satlantas distributed hand sanitizers along with the appeal to always wear masks and try not to carry out outside activities if they were not so important or urgent. Guided physical distance and prohibited from gathering or crowd. 

This is also the implementation of government policy and the Police Chief's Declaration as an effort to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 outbreak.

The importance of maintaining cleanliness, especially the hands, because hands are one of the important factors in preventing Coronavirus from entering our bodies.
 
Tanjungpinang Police Chief, AKBP Muhammad Iqbal, SIK through Kasat Lantas, AKP Anjar Y. Widodo, SIK hope that the distribution of hand sanitizers can be beneficial for the community and the drivers. 

On Thursday (4/16/2020), the Tanjungpinang District Police together with the TNI also held a social service by distributing 1000 food packages to the people affected by Covid-19.

The distribution of basic food is given to drivers, laborers, fishermen, helpers, traveling traders, widows, widowers who experience prisoners, grave diggers, and even unemployed. (Tribunbatam.id/Endrakaputra)
