TRIBUNBATAM.id - Lion Air (flight code JT) will soon open a new route to Langgur, the administrative center of Southeast Maluku Regency which is scheduled to be directly connected to Ambon, the capital city of Maluku Province.
On its inaugural flight, Lion Air flies from Pattimura International Airport Ambon (AMQ) to Karel Sadsuitubun Langgur Airport (LUV) for round trip (PP), to serve regular flights.
For the inaugural flight to Langgur, the Boeing 737-800NG, the latest generation, was sent directly from the aircraft manufacturer.
This latest Lion Air service will support in facilitating the movement of people (communities, tourists, and business people) as well as logistics.
This means shorter distances, faster travel times, and is safer on some networks.

First, for the intra-Maluku network. This means that flights are interconnected between regions from the district level to the provincial capital including Ambon, Langgur (Southeast Maluku Regency); Dobo, the sub-district and capital of the Aru Islands Regency via Rar Gwamar Airport (DOB).
And Saumlaki, the capital of the Tanimbar Archipelago Regency, Southwest Maluku via Mathilda Batlayeri Airport (SXK) and Namlea, the sub-district and capital of Buru Regency via Namlea Airport (NAM).
Second, to be able to connect to various other destination cities. Through Pattimura International Airport, Lion Air makes it easy to connect flights to and from the destination city.

Then Jakarta, Surabaya, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Semarang, Solo; Bali, Lombok; Labuan Bajo, Maumere, Kupang, Waingapu in East Nusa Tenggara; Balikpapan, Berau in East Kalimantan; Banjarmasin, Kotabaru in South Kalimantan, and other destinations.
