TRIBUNBATAM.id, SULAWESI - Buton Palace Fort is the largest fort in the world according to the Guinness Book of Records in 2006.
This fort is also known as Fort Wolio, as quoted from the Tourism Village Network (Jadesta) website of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf).
This 23.37 hectare fort is located in Melai Village, Murhum District, Baubau City, Southeast Sulawesi Province.

Based on information from the Tourism Village Network of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, this tourist village has an area about 42 hectares, with a population of 2,223 people.
Tourists who visit this village can witness the interesting traditional attractions of Buton. Includes, Kande-Kandea, Posipo, Alana Bulua, Dole-Dole, Tandaki, Haroa, Qadiri, Qunua, Tembaana Bula traditions, as well as various traditional games.
With this attraction, the Limbo Wolio Tourism Village is ranked in the top 50 best tourist villages in Indonesia in the 2022 Indonesian Tourism Village Award (ADWI), organized by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy.
2. Buton Palace Museum
The Buton Palace Museum is also known as the Buton Palace Museum. The location is only 1.5 kilometers from the Buton Palace Fort, with a travel time of only four minutes driving.

Sultan Murhum Qaimuddin Khalifatul Khamis, or Lakilaponto, is also known as the Sultan of Buton VI.
He was one of the most respected sultans.
Sultan Murhum became the first sultan and the last king, because the system of government that was originally a kingdom was changed to a sultanate.
As king, he reigned for 20 years, while as sultan for 26 years.
