Bribery Riau Islands Governor Nurdin Basirun, Kock Meng Detained by KPK, His Wife Sick in Batam

TRIBUNBATAM.id - Corruption Eradication Commission called Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi (KPK) arrested Kock Meng, a businessman from Batam related to the bribery of Riau Islands Governor (non-active) Nurdin Basirun.

Kock Meng was allegedly involved in the flow of bribes between Nurdin Basirun and Abu Bakar.

Kock has been detained by KPK since yesterday afternoon, Wednesday (11/09/2019).

Now, the middle-aged man has also languished in a detention house owned by KPK in Jakarta.

Although his status has changed to become a suspect, Kock Meng is still worried about the condition of his family in Batam.

This was revealed when Tribun contacted his attorney, James Sumihar Sibarani, Thursday (12/09/2019) night.

In Whatsapp connection, James said, until now Kock Meng family had not time to visit him in KPK prison.

"The family can't come yet. But Mr. Kock Meng was in communication via telephone last night, "he wrote.

Beside that, James also said, Kock Meng was so worried about his wife's condition.

This is not without reason, it is known that Kock Meng's wife is currently experiencing severe illness.

"Her condition is very ill," said James again.

According to him, illness has been ongoing for several months.

Until now James said again, the condition of Kock Meng in KPK prison still looks like ordinary. (dna)
