TRIBUNBATAM.id - From the data obtained by Meteorology Climatology and Geophysics Agency or Badan Meteorologi Klimatologi dan Geofisika(BMKG) Class I Hang Nadim Meteorology Station, there are monitored as many as 11 hotspots in Riau Islands Province.

Head of Batam BMKG Data and Information Section Suratman said, 11 hotspots mostly in Natuna Regency.

"Precisely in East Bungguran area there are 4 points, West Bungguran also 4 points, Bintan Regency in North Bintan 2 points, and Lingga Regency in Senayang 1 point," he said, Monday (09/16/2019).

He conveyed, in BMKG monitoring, for sea, land and air transportation can still be active.

"Because of the visibility, so far it's still 10 kilometers, so it's still safe," he said.

However, BMKG also calls for caution to reduce visibility due the smog.

For today's weather conditions, it is forecast to be cloudy and there is the potential for local rain with mild to moderate intensity that can be accompanied by lightning, and strong winds.
