Korean Tourists Watch Marching Band Competition at Engku Putri Batam, Here's Their Excitement
Korean tourists watch Batam Open Marching Band Championship 2019 at Dataran Engku Putri Batam Centre. They also tasted snacks around culinary bazaar.
TRIBUNBATAM.id - Coming to Batam, Korean tourists are invited to watch marching band match at Dataran Engku Putri Batam Centre, Friday (11/10).
Besides watching the competition, they also tasted snacks in culinary bazaar.
The activities are packed in Batam Open Marching Band Championship 2019.

Head of Batam City Culture and Tourism Department, Ardiwinata said, the arrival of tourists was part of a tour.
A total of 15 travelers from this ginseng country, following a tour around Batam.
One of the locations visited was Dataran Engku Putri.
"So we have already informed the marching band competition event to travel tour. And they are interested," said Ardi.
Moreover, the location of this activity is also close to building that will become Batam museum going forward.
"We also take these tourists to Batam Museum at Dataran Engku Putri," he said.
For information, Batam Open Marching Band Championship is on the agenda of Batam City Government through Youth and Sports Department (Dispora).
Head of Batam Dispora, Hendriana Gustini said, the competition was participated by 47 teams who came not only from Batam, but also Tanjungpinang, Lingga, and Bintan.
"The category of participants is divided into three. Junior division, elementary school equivalent, as many as 20 teams. Then senior division, junior high school and equivalent, amounted to 22 teams. As well as the general division followed by 5 teams. Total participants were 1,200 people," said Hendriana.
Meanwhile, Assistant Government of Batam and Secretariat of Batam Setdako, Yusfa Hendri said, going forward will improve this race both in quality and participation.
"This is the second time it has been held. In the future it will be developed to become an international level be able to include participants from abroad," he said.
Government hopes, more participants will take part in this activity and could become tourism agenda in Batam city in the future. (* / wie)
