Batam Montigo Resort Bridge Collapsed, Now Guarding the Entrance of the Resort being Tightened

TRIBUNBATAM.id -  Dozens of foreigners from Singapore became victims of the collapse of a wooden bridge at Montigo Resort Batam, Thursday (11/07/2019).

The bridge collapsed allegedly because it could not hold the burden of dozens of people who were photographed on the bridge until it collapsed and resulted in the bottom of the bridge collapsing.

Currently, police are still examining a number of witnesses related to the collapse of the luxury resort located in Nongsa, Batam.

Meanwhile, when Tribunbatam.id tried to search at the scene of the collapse of the bridge, it appeared that the entrance of Montigo Resort was heavily guarded by a closed sign guarded by the resort's security. 

"Sorry sir, this is a private area, you can't enter, if you want to meet the manager or the responsible party try to make an appointment first," said Budi, one of the security who met Batam Tribune, Friday (11/08/2019) afternoon.

From observation outside the resort, activities continue as usual.

Seen a number of guests staying at the resort were riding bikes and came out of Montigo Resort.
