Batam Montigo Resort Management Apologizes For Bridge Collapse Incident
Montigo Resort Management giving apologizes statement of recreation bridge collapse at Montigo Resort, Nongsa. There were 26 victims of this Incident.
TRIBUNBATAM.id - Montigo Resort Management regrets the collapse of recreation bridge at Montigo Resort in Nongsa, Batam, Thursday (11/07/2019) afternoon.
As a result of this unfortunate accident there were 26 victims, two of whom suffered broken bones and had further treatment inSingapore. The victims were on the bridge at that time.
Police have conducted an investigation into this incident. Likewise from the management has also been asked for information from relevant parties.

Montigo Resort Social Media Manager, Ilham Wibisono expressed his management's regret over the incident through a press release received by Tribunbatam.id.
"Management of Montigo Resorts Nongsa is very sorry that part of the recreational bridge (Bridge) stretches to the sea collapsed on Thursday, November 7, 2019 afternoon," Ilham said, Friday (11/08/2019).
Ilham explained, from the results of the interim investigation this incident was caused by excess capacity.
There were 30 people concentrated in the bridge area, resulting in the unfortunate incident.
"This is an unfortunate incident which is a result of 30 people overcapacity who are concentrated in the bridge area when the bridge should function only for the passing area and not to gather at a certain point. An investigation has been launched and we are working with the competent authority and local police for that matter, "Ilham said.
He said it was also awaiting official results from the authorities for incident in order to remedy negligence in the future.
"We will wait for an official report on this issue, so we can immediately correct the mistakes that caused this and prevent similar incidents from happening in the future," Ilham said.
When TribunBatam confirmed the bridge capacity appeal, Ilham said that his party had not installed it.
"Actually, we have a notification, but for the bridge load capacity, we don't have that, but for the building capacity it is not intended to be used for visitors who gather at one point," Ilham said.
He also revealed that his party apologized for the inconvenience and hoped that related guests recovered quickly in the near future.
"Montigo Resorts Nongsa management apologize for the inconvenience caused and hope that related guests recover quickly in the near future. Montigo Resorts is also still operating as usual and will further improve services, security for guest comfort," Ilham said.
