Head of BMKG Class III Tarempa, Dudi Juhadinata said the sea waves in Natuna and Anambas waters currently have strong ocean currents in Natuna waters.

"The appeal has been conveyed via Raja TV cable television, because we always update the weather information on cable television channel 42," Dudi told Tribunbatam.id via Whatsapp message.

Dudi explained the weather situation, presence of Nakri tropical storm in the west of Philippines caused an air mass movement from the western part of Indonesia, especially Riau Islands.

This resulted on reduced opportunities for the formation of rain clouds in Riau Islands region.

In general, yesterday's weather conditions (8/11/2019) are forecasted to be cloudy and there is potential for moderate to heavy local rainfall that can be accompanied by lightning and strong winds.

From the information gathered by Tribunbatam.id, winds over territorial waters of Kalimantan, north of the Equator, generally blow from Southwest to the North.

Whereas in South of Equator generally blow from East to Southwest with wind speeds ranging from 2 to 15 knots (1 to 6 on Beaufort scale). (tribunbatam.id/Rahma Tika)
