BCA Will Present the new 'Face Recognition' Technology

TRIBUNBATAM.id - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) said it would continue to improve the security aspects for customers who use mobile banking services.

Executive Vice President of Digital Innovation Solution BCA, Jayaprawirya Diah, said that BCA is currently preparing additional features for mobile banking services. This feature is face recognition

According to him, the addition of these new features still consider of the security issues. 

In addition, the face recognition feature is also not intended to replace the PIN input, but as an option or other choice.

Currently BCA is still reviewing the use of these features. But basically the use of these features will be used to prevent fraud. 

It is known that several mobile banking services offer log in or authentication using fingerprints. But Jaya assesses the use of fingerprints is a bit vulnerable. 

So that later, the use of face recognition by BCA will be made using an internal system instead of relying on the system from a cellphone. (*)
