Batam City Government Allocates IDR 4 Billion for Corona Virus Prevention, Here's the Details

TRIBUNBATAM.id - Batam Mayor HM Rudi said that in the near future his party would carry out cleaning or spraying of disinfectants to the number of areas in Batam, Riau Islands.
For example, starting from the port, malls, government-owned public transportation buses, public facilities and a number of other locations.
In fact, for this activity, Batam City Government has prepared a budget of up to Rp 4 billion.
"The budget will be taken from the unexpected expenditure of Batam City Government, and this has been coordinated and discussed with the Batam DPRD," Rudi said when met on Tuesday (3/17/2020).
In addition, according to Rudi, Batam City Government has also prepared contact numbers for information about corona at 0812-7781-5333.

"So, people can directly call the cellphone number if they want to know about the corona virus," said Rudi.
Rudi appealed for the people of Batam City to remain calm and alert.

The community was also asked not to disseminate information that wasn't yet confirmed.
"Reduce the activity of gathering in the crowd, both in closed and open spaces. If there is nothing important, you shouldn't need to leave the house," said Rudi.
According to Rudi, for spraying disinfectants, there are around 50 to 60 locations that will be cleaned.
This spraying will be carried out by the Batam City Government Task Force team to prevent Covid-19.
The Task Force Team came from Batam FKPD elements, including Barelang Police, Immigration, Customs, and others formed directly by the Governor of the Riau Islands. (*)
