Become Malay Culinary Center During Ramadhan, Tanjung Uma Residents Are Asked to Sell Online

Batam City Government urged the public to conduct social distancing and not gather in the crowd. Ramadhan bazaar in Tanjung Uma will be eliminated.

TRIBUNBATAM.id, BATAM - In the situation of Covid-19 pandemic, Batam City Government (Pemko) urged the public to conduct social distancing and not gather in the crowd.

Upon entering the holy month of Ramadhan or the fasting month, head of acceleration handling team for Covid-19 Amsakar Achmad instructed offcials to monitor their respective areas and set up an enforcement team if any residents wanted to establish Ramadhan bazaar.

Regarding Ramadhan bazaar which is held annually in Tanjung Uma, Lubuk Baja District, Batam City, this year will be eliminated.

Tanjung Uma residents can sell food online at Facebok, Facebook groups such as Tanjung Uma groups and Tanjung Uma culinary specialties.

Tindo 32 years, resident of Tanjung Uma RT 01 RW 08, that felt sad, because Ramadhan bazaar in Tanjung Uma is a characteristic.

"Sad, because Ramadhan bazaar was abolished, from the first time since I was in Tanjung Uma every year there was always a bazaar, bazaar at Tanjung Uma was very unique, especially Malay cuisine," said Tindo.
