TRIBUNBATAM.id - PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) accelerates and maintains the smooth distribution of fertilizers to anticipate the high needs of farmers.

The step was taken as a step by the company to support President Joko Widodo's plan to accelerate the growing season, in anticipation of drought and the shortage of food supplies.

The Managing Director of PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero), Aas Asikin Idat, said that his party had instructed all fertilizer producers to accelerate the distribution of fertilizer to the district warehouses and distributors.

This effort has been carried out since last February to anticipate the possibility of disruption of distribution channels due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

According to Aas, currently, the stock of fertilizers in district warehouses or inline III is sufficient for the needs of the next 2-3 months.

"We have also prepared an additional fleet. So that the delivery of fertilizer both subsidized and commercial fertilizer can run smoothly to the official kiosk. "In addition, our land fleet is also equipped with a sign that reads a special dispensation for the transportation of important goods, to ensure that all officers can assist the smooth delivery of fertilizer throughout Indonesia," said Aas.

To maintain the smooth distribution in the midst of a pandemic and the Large-Scale Social Restrictions policy (PSBB), the Indonesian Fertilizer Group has equipped its entire fleet with copies of certificates or Industrial Activity Mobility and Operational Permits (SIINAS) issued by the Ministry of Industry for all fertilizer producers.
