Corona Patient Tracking, 37 Batam Residents in Batu Ampar Reactive, Transported to BP Batam Flats

TRIBUNBATAM.id - The Covid-19 Handling Acceleration Task Force Team conducted a sweep in three villages in Batu Ampar District, Batam. The result, as many as 37 people obtained. 

This resident is a close contact of 2 positive patients from Seraya Village and 1 positive patient from Tanjung Sengkuang Village who was confirmed positive on Tuesday (5/26/2020). 

They have undergone treatment at the Infection Hospital on Galang Island. 

Furthermore, the 37 residents whose Rapid Test results are reactive will undergo a swab check which is planned to be conducted on Thursday (05/28/2020). The results will be known in the near future. 

According to data from the Batam City Health Department, so far, there are 84 Batam residents, including the 37 residents of the Batu Ampar District, who are still quarantined in the BP Batam Flats.

In addition, in the BP Batam Flat, there were 264 migrant workers who were still undergoing quarantine before being returned to their home regions.

At one of the hotels in Batam, it is also the quarantine location of 56 foreigners who are ship crews waiting for their return to their home countries.

The Head of the Batam City Health Department, Didi Kusmarjadi added Batu Ampar District, Batam, which is now the epicenter or center of the distribution of Covid-19 in Batam.

This stems from the discovery of additional positive cases in several villages in Batu Ampar and the movements of officers conducting searches for close contacts of positive cases there, mainly from Seraya Village.
