TRIBUNBATAM.id - Ahead of the implementation of the "New Normal" in Batam City, Riau Islands, Covid-19 patients continue to grow.

The increase per day is almost above 10.

The Mayor of Batam, who is also the chairman of the Batam City Covid-19 Task Force Team, Muhammad Rudi said, the addition of 11 new cases was based on the results of the search and development of four clusters that are currently developing in Batam, namely HOG Eden Park, Palm Spring, and TGR -Cases. 

In fact, one cluster is a new cluster, the TGR-cases.

"Eleven new cases consisted of seven female patients and four male patients," said Rudi through his written statement, Wednesday (06/03/2020) last night.

The first patient who was a case in Batam 141 was a woman with the initials MS (25) and lived in the tunnel shop area Sei Panas Kelurahan Sei Panas District Batam City, Batam.

She was a biological mother from a confirmed case of 133 Batam who died suddenly at home with a history of complaints of cough accompanied by fever and shortness of breath. 

"So far the condition in question is stable and does not feel any significant health problems. The person concerned is currently being treated in the isolation room at Embung Fatimah Hospital in Batam City," explained Rudi.

Second, is the case 142 Batam, a man with the initials A (30) and lives in the Sukajadi housing complex, Batam.

He was the younger sibling of the positive number 100 case in Batam who met and made a friendly visit during Eid.

"The 142 case was referred to the Covid-19 Galang Island Hospital," said Rudi.

Furthermore, in case 143, a man with the initials MI (29) lives in Sukajadi Housing, Batam.

In question was the brother-in-law of the positive patient number 100 cases of Batam and was allegedly exposed during a friendly visit to celebrate Eid. 

Tracing and development results

Investigating epidemiology (PE) on patient number 100 of the Batam case, the health team turned him into a new cluster, the TGR-cases cluster.

"The number 143 case was also referred to the Covid-19 Galang Island Hospital and so far the condition is stable and does not feel any significant health problems," said Rudi.

Furthermore, the case of 144 Batam, a girl with the initial IAZ (4) lives in the Sukajadi housing complex, Batam

Concerned is the nephew of positive confirmed case 100 and also met during the Idul Fitri Eid gathering yesterday.

"The 144 case was referred to the Batam RSBP, while both of its parents are currently quarantined and are waiting for the results of the second swab test," Rudi added.

Furthermore, in the case of 145 Batam, a woman with the initial AD (52) lives in Sukajadi, Batam.

The person concerned is Mother-in-law of case number 100 and lives with her. (*)
