UPDATE: 1,853 New Cases of Covid-19, the Highest since March 2, 2020

TRIBUNBATAM.id - Indonesia again recorded the highest addition of Covid-19 daily cases in a day based on data announced on Wednesday (07/08/2020). 

In the last 24 hours, there were an additional 1,853 positive patients with Covid-19.

Based on Kompas.com notes from government data updates, this number is the highest number of new cases since the first Covid-19 case was announced by President Joko Widodo on March 2, 2020. 

The addition of 1,853 new cases was the result of examination of 22,183 specimens.

Thus, the positive case ratio or positivity rate today is around 8.35 percent.

Meanwhile, today's number of additions exceeds the previous highest number of additions, namely on Thursday (2/7/2020). 

At that time, there were 1,624 new cases of Covid-19 with a total of 59,394 cases throughout Indonesia.

Achmad Yurianto also announced that the number of patients recovering until July 7, 2020 was 800 people.

Thus, the total number of patients recovered to date is 31,585. 

Then, the case of death has now increased to 50 cases, so that the Covid-19 patient died became 3,359 people.

As for the Covid-19 case to date which has spread to 34 provinces or all provinces in Indonesia.

Specifically, there are 456 districts / cities affected by Covid-19 from 34 provinces.

Yuri also announced that there were still 38,489 people under surveillance (ODP) and 13,636 patients under surveillance (PDP) to date. (*)
