TRIBUNBATAM.id - The Covid-19 Handling Task Force provides the latest data on the number of recent cases and data on Covid-19 patients in Indonesia.
Data from the Covid-19 Task Force shows that corona virus transmission still occurs in the community until Friday (7/8/2020). This causes the number of Covid-19 cases to continue to grow.
Data as of Friday at 12.00 WIB showed that there were 2,473 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.
The addition led to 121,226 Covid-19 cases in the country.
This information was conveyed directly by the Covid-19 Task Force through the Covid19.go.id website which was updated on Friday afternoon.
As many as 2,473 new cases were obtained after the government conducted an examination of 30,159 specimens from 15,599 people sampled in one day.
The government has accumulated an examination of 1,663,315 specimens from the 951,910 people sampled.
This means that one person can undergo more than one specimen examination.
Patients who recovered and died
Even though the number of cases continues to grow, the government is raising hopes with the news that more and more Covid-19 patients are recovering.
The same data shows that there are an additional 1,912 recovered Covid-19 patients.
They were declared cured after two tests using the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method showed negative results for the corona virus.
Thus, the total number of patients who recovered from Covid-19 now has reached 77,557 people.
This number reaches 64 percent of all confirmed Covid-19 cases.
