"For example in Singapore, in the airport area, there are good malls. Of course, people will feel at home for a long time there, while waiting for the flight schedule or pick up, people can shop at the mall, ”said Rudi recently.
"Moreover, Batam is listed as the top three contributing regions for foreign tourists, we should do this kind of development to increase Batam's selling value in the future," said Rudi.
"Of course, in the future, the airport will not only be a place for the flow of human and cargo traffic but also able to become a gathering center for tourists to shop for branded goods of the highest quality," said Rudi.
The mall was built with a CSR joint venture
For the budget, Rudi admitted that he would take advantage of a third party through the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.
This is done so that the responsibility for Batam development is not only borne by the Government, but business actors who build businesses in Batam, be it industry, shipbuilding, hotels, and other investors also contribute to the development of Batam city.
"So, everyone will develop and advance together, because, not only building malls, but, road access will also be made as beautiful as possible, be it around the airport, or city roads leading to the airport and a number of other road accesses will also be beautified to add to the beauty of the city, ”explained Rudi.
