Covid-19 Cases in Sekupang Batam Increases, Police Combing The Crowd Center

TRIBUNBATAM.id, BATAM - To accelerate the socialization of government regulations for health protocol, Sekupang Police came to crowd centers to urge residents to wear masks.

Not only appealed, Sekupang Police also immediately distributed thousands of masks to motorists who were not wearing masks when they passed.

"We went to the field to ensure that all residents used masks so that they could break the chain of spreading Covid-19," said Deputy Head of Sekupang Police, AKP Sugianto, Thursday (10/9/2020).

On Thursday morning, about 20 Sekupang Police personnel together with members of Sekupang Koramil, Satpol PP of Sekupang District, combed Tiban Center market.

In this market, the police use loudspeakers to appeal to residents.

"Beware, corona is getting more and more widespread, keep using masks when on the move. Keep your distance, avoid using public transportation ...," said the police appeal while distributing masks to residents.

After combing Tiban Center Market, the police then moved to red light intersections such as Sungai Harapan intersection.

Even so, AKP Sugianto asked residents to keep wearing masks.

Several Puskesmas in Sekupang area have closed their services. Finally, Batam City Social Service Office also closed its services after Head of the office was exposed to Covid-19.
