Covid-19 Spying on Batam Mukakuning Company, 317 Workers in 17 Companies Positive of Covid-19

TRIBUNBATAM.id, BATAM - Patient cases confirmed positive for Covid-19 in the labor cluster in Mukakuning area continue to grow.

As of 29 September 2020, the total number of Covid-19 patients in the cluster had reached 317 people.

Details of the 317 cases were spread across 17 companies in Mukakuning area, Batam, Riau Islands.

Where the distribution is PT BIC as many as 9 people, PT Schneider as many as 5 people, PT JMS as many as 4 people, PT Rubycon as many as 3 people.

Then PT Kemet as many as 7 people, PT Sumitomo as many as 9 people, PT Excelitas as many as 7 people, PT Infineon as many as 88 people, PT WIK as many as 3 people.

As well as PT Philips which broke the record with the most cases, namely 171 people.

Then there are also PT Flextronics as many as 3 people, PT SIIX as many as 1 person, PT Epson as many as 2 people, PT Hoonfong as many as 1 person, employees of Bank Mandiri KCP Batamindo as many as 2 people, PT NOK as many as 1 person and finally there is PT VARTA as many as 1 person.

As is known, this data is based on the release of Batam City Covid-19 Task Force Team.

Muka Kuning cluster started when a case of an employee dormitory occupant was found who was exposed to Covid-19, after which the spread of cases widened until the latest data was that there were 17 companies whose employees were exposed to Covid-19.

Head of tBatam City Health Department as well as Head of Covid-19 Task Force Team Health Division, Didi Kusmarjadi, said officers were still making contact tracing efforts on the cluster.

"We are still pressing the numbers," said Didi.

Meanwhile, the total number of Covid-19 patients in Batam has reached 1575, of which 1002 have been declared cured.
