10 Private Employees in Batam Exposed to Covid-19, Total Employee Clusters Reach 1.265
Patients confirmed positive for Covid-19 in Batam City continue to increase from day to day. 1.265 private employees have been exposed to Covid-19.

TRIBUNBATAM.id, BATAM - Patients confirmed positive for Covid-19 in Batam City continue to increase from day to day.
Most recently, as many as 21 Batam residents again tested positive for Covid-19 after undergoing a swab examination.
Of that number, 10 patients of whom work as private company employees in Batam City.
From the records of the Batam Covid-19 Handling Task Force, private employees are the profession most vulnerable to Covid-19 transmission.
Not without reason, a total of 1.265 private employees have been exposed to Covid-19 in Batam City.
On average, these workers are known to have contracted the virus after undergoing a mass rapid test held by the company.

As is known, the outbreak of transmission in the workers' environment began when employees at 17 private companies were confirmed positive for Covid-19 some time ago.
At that time, two companies were in the spotlight. Both are PT. Philips Technologies Batam, with 171 workers exposed to Covid-19 and PT. Infineon Technologies Batam, totaling 88 people.
When workers exposed to Covid-19 in the two companies gradually recovered and even were declared cured, a second wave followed at PT. Batam International Electronic PCI.
A total of 186 workers tested positive for Covid-19 after undergoing a swab examination.
The Head of Batam City Health Service ( Kadinkes), Didi Kusmarjadi, did not know for sure the origin of the virus transmission to workers at PT. Batam International Electronic PCI.
"The source is not clear. This is a community case," he said in response to a question from the Batam Tribune, Monday (26/10/2020).
He also appealed to Batam workers and residents to adhere to health protocols by implementing 3 M.
"Wear a mask, keep your distance, and wash your hands after your activity," he concluded.
