UPDATE: Covid-19 Cases in Indonesia Reach 1.534.255, Add 6.731 People

TRIBUNBATAM.id - The government stated that the transmission of the coronavirus was still happening in the community, so that the number of Covid-19 cases was still increasing.

Based on data on Sunday (4/4/2021), there were an additional 6,731 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

Thus, the total Covid-19 cases in Indonesia now reached 1,534,255 people. 

This information was conveyed by the Covid-19 Handling Task Force through data received by journalists on Sunday afternoon. 

In a day, there were an additional 9,663 people who recovered from Covid-19. 

Thus, the total number of patients recovered from Covid-19 now reached 1,375,877 people since the beginning of the pandemic.

However, sad news is still recorded with a patient who died due to Covid-19. 

In the period of April 3-4, 2021, 427 people died after being exposed to Covid-19.

Thus, the death rate due to Covid-19 in Indonesia now reached 41,669 people during the pandemic.

So, at this time, there were 116,709 active cases of Covid-19. 

Active cases are the number of patients who are still positive, and are undergoing treatment in hospital or independent isolation. (*)
