UPDATE: The Casualties Due to Flood Disaster in NTT and NTB as many as 119 People

TRIBUNBATAM.id - Based on data from the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), the death toll from the disaster in the Provinces of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) and West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) reached 119 people.

"A total of 119 people died, (including) those in NTB," said the Head of BNPB, Doni Monardo, during a press statement, Tuesday (6/4/2021) evening. 

According to Doni, as many as 60 victims died in East Flores. Then, 21 victims died in Alor and three victims in Belu Regency.

Meanwhile, in Kupang Regency and Kupang city, each has one victim.

Furthermore, 28 victims died in Lembata Regency, 2 people died in Sabu Raijua Regency and one victim died in Ende.

Meanwhile, the flood disaster in Bima Regency, West Nusa Tenggara resulted in the death of two residents. 

Meanwhile, floods accompanied by landslides occurred in a number of districts in NTT Province, on Sunday (4/4/2021). 

The high intensity of rain since Friday (02/04/2021) has also resulted flooding in Bima Regency, NTB. 

The flood submerged hundreds of houses and residents were forced to evacuate to a safer places. 

The government is still working on handling the impact of disasters in NTT and NTB. 

Doni said that the government has provided health facilities and services in the evacuation centers.

However, there are problems with the limitations of doctors and health workers. (*)
