TRIBUNBATAM.id - The government has again reported an increase in daily Covid-19 cases, death rates, cure rates and the number of patients undergoing hospitalization.
Data from the Covid-19 Handling Task Force until Thursday (5/20/2021) at 12.00 WIB, there were an additional 5,797 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.
This addition causes the total Covid-19 cases in Indonesia to currently reach 1,758,898 people.

The patient recovered and died
The same data shows that there are additional patients recovering due to Covid-19. Within a day, the number increased by 4,969 people.
Thus, the number of Covid-19 patients who have recovered in Indonesia to date has reached 1,621,572 people.
However, the number of patients who died after being exposed to Covid-19 also continues to grow.
In the period of May 19-20, 2021, 218 Covid-19 patients died, so that the death rate due to Covid-19 reached 48,887 people since the beginning of the pandemic.
In addition, there have been 88,439 active cases of Covid-19 to date.
Active cases are patients who are still confirmed positive for the coronavirus and are undergoing treatment in hospitals or independent isolation. (*)
