TRIBUNBATAM.id - Positive cases of Corona Virus (Covid-19) increased by 10,050 cases today, Saturday (8/28/2021), or 2,568 smaller than the previous day.

At the same time, there was a decrease in the number of sample checks not much different. 

This addition brings the total positive cases of the coronavirus in Indonesia to 4,066,404 people.  

"Increased by 10,500, total 4,066,404," as quoted from the Task Force, Saturday (8/28/2021).  

Of the total cases, 3,707,850 of them were declared cured, after an additional daily recovery of 18,594 people.  

In addition, 131,372 of them died due to Covid-19.

On a daily basis, cases of death reached 591 people. 

The task force also stated that the number of specimens examined was 181,674 samples.

This figure decreased compared to the examination on the previous day which reached 184,115 samples.

In addition, the Task Force said the total active cases reached 227,182 or decreased by 9,135 from yesterday. 

The day before, on Friday (8/27), the total number of Covid-19 cases reached 4,056,354 people (with an additional daily case of 12,618), with 3,689,256 of whom were declared recovered and 130,781 died. 

It is known, positive cases and deaths related to Covid-19 in the past week showed a downward trend. However, the Covid-19 Task Force admits there's been a decline in the number of tests.

Apart from that, the Government continues to implement the Implementation of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) at various levels in a number of regions. 

PPKM in Java-Bali is valid until August 30.

While PPKM outside Java-Bali is valid until September 6.
