Tourist Destinations in Indonesia: Yogyakarta Palace Opens, These are the Terms of Visit

TRIBUNBATAM.id, YOGYAKARTA - Tourism at the Yogyakarta Palace, Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY), has been reopened since the status of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) was lowered to level 2. 

The opening of the Keraton area tour begins on October 20, 2021.    

Carik Tepas, the Yogyakarta Palace Museum, Siti Amirul, explained that the Keraton tour was opened at PPKM Level 2. 

However, there are various conditions that must be met, one of which is to apply a maximum visitor capacity of 25 percent.

Tourists visiting the Yogyakarta Palace are required to meet a number of requirements. 

For example, at least the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine is given, while children under 12 years old must be accompanied by their parents. 

Tourists are required to apply health protocols during their visit to the Yogyakarta Palace, including wearing masks, checking body temperature, and not crowding.

To avoid crowding, when entering, tourists will be divided into small groups.

Currently, most of the visits consist of families. 

Regarding the level of visits, according to Ami, currently it is still low when compared to before the pandemic.

Daily visits are currently only around 50-100 visits.
