TRIBUNBATAM.id, YOGYAKARTA - The Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY), especially Bantul Regency, has become a favorite tourist area during the Christmas and New Year holidays (Nataru).
That's because Bantul Regency has so many tourist attractions, from beaches to handicraft centers.
To prevent the occurrence of the 3rd wave of Covid-19 in the DIY region, the Bantul Regency Government (Pemkab) has intensified the Covid-19 vaccination targeting the elderly.
Assistant to the Bantul Regent for Resources and People's Welfare, Pulung Haryadi, said that Bantul Regency targets the Covid-19 vaccination to reach 90 percent this November. One of the efforts is to intensify mass vaccination.
"We hope that we can reach 90 percent by the end of November. To achieve this, we created the Wani (brave) vaccine program and target locations, as well as pick up the elderly," he said.
By intensifying vaccination in the region, it is hoped that these efforts can accelerate herd immunity in Bantul Regency.
