Traveling to Bali's Kintamani Now Pay IDR 25,000, Here's the Details

TRIBUNBATAM.id, BALI - Tourists that entering the Kintamani area now need to pay a levy of IDR 25,000 for local tourists, while foreign tourists must pay IDR 50,000. 

This levy levy has again become a topic of discussion following the viral video on social media showing the obligation to pay Kintamani entrance tickets for tourists.

Regarding the viral video, the Head of the Bangli Tourism and Culture Office, I Wayan Sugiarta explained, the levy of fees is a mandate from the Regent's Regulation (Perbup). 

The Perbup in question is Perbup Bangli No. 37 of 2019 concerning Amendments to Bangli Regent Regulation No. 47 of 2014 concerning Review of Retribution Rates for Recreational and Sports Places in Bangli Regency.

According to him, for the last two years, namely 2020 and 2021, the local government has relaxed the rules by stopping levies due to the pandemic.

However, the regulation has now been re-applied because it is a mandate from the Perbup. 

However, for residents who just pass through or residents of Kintamani no levy is collected.

Even so, they will still be stopped for questioning about their purpose in the area.

The levy levy took effect on February 17, 2022, to coincide with the launch of e-ticketing and the Bangli tourism branding logo.

There are eight entrance posts to the Kintamani area that will be guarded by officers.

Referring to Perbup Bangli No. 37/2019, the details of the retribution are as follows: 

- Indonesian Citizen (WNI) / (adult) IDR 25,000

- Indonesian citizen / (children) IDR 15,000

- Foreign Citizens (WNA) / (adults) IDR 50,000

- Foreign Citizens / (children) IDR 30,000
