Garuda Indonesia Opens Sydney-Bali Flight Route Once a Week

TRIBUNBATAM.id - Garuda Indonesia is officially serving the Australian-Bali flight route, Sydney-Denpasar to be exact, Friday (3/4/2022). 

This Sydney-Denpasar flight is served once a week, which is every Friday. 

The fleet used is the A330-300, which previously also served Jakarta-Sydney flights. 

The Sydney-Denpasar flight is the first international flight route connecting Australia with Bali in early 2022, and is also directly connected to the Jakarta-Sydney flight route. 

The flight number GA 715 departs from Sydney Kingsford Smith International Airport at 11.30 local time, and arrives at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Denpasar, at 14.45 WITA.

On the inaugural flight, there were 60 passengers from Sydney who came from various regions in Australia.

Currently, the airline connects Australia with Indonesia through 2 flight routes per week, which are served through the 2 largest hubs in Indonesia, namely Jakarta and Denpasar. 

The operation of the Sydney-Denpasar flight service coincides with the momentum of Bali's economic and tourism recovery, through the relaxation of foreign tourists and business travel policies to Indonesia. 

It is known, Australian tourists who in the period before the Covid-19 pandemic, especially in 2019, recorded the largest visits to more than 1.2 million tourists who entered Bali.

The operation of this flight is expected to be the beginning of optimism for the revival of the Indonesian economy, especially in terms of the tourism sector for the long term.
