TRIBUNBATAM.id - The government has officially revoked the Covid-19 test requirements for domestic and international travelers starting today, Wednesday (5/18).
As a condition, travelers must have been vaccinated with the full dose, or a second dose.
"For domestic and foreign travelers who have received a complete dose of vaccination, there is no need to carry out a PCR swab test or an antigen," said President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) through the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube channel, Tuesday (5/17).
Meanwhile, the spokesperson for the Covid-19 Task Force, Wiku Adisasmito, conveyed the same thing.
Prospective airplane passengers who have been vaccinated in full doses, he said, no longer need to be tested for Covid-19 before traveling.
Wiku explained that this decision was taken as the first step for the transition from a pandemic to an endemic period.
How many full doses of vaccine?
For information, reported by Kompas.com, previously, the RT-PCR or antigen test as a traveling requirement for domestic and foreign travelers only applies to those who have received a booster vaccine.
What is meant by full-dose vaccination is the second dose of vaccination.
"Complete dose means a vaccine with two complete doses. So what is meant by a complete dose is a two-dose vaccine. While what is meant by a booster is a vaccine after a complete dose of vaccine," explained Wiku.
