Head of Batam City Manpower Office, Rudi Sakyakirti said, after holding a joint meeting with employers and workers, the associations agreed to increase.
"Basically, entrepreneurs are involved with government policies as proposed by UMK 2020 to be at IDR 4,130,279," said Rudi.
The calculation, he said, was calculated by 2019 UMK x 2019 inflation + 2019 GDP = Rp 3,806,358 x 8.51% (323,921) so it counted at IDR 4,130,279, "he said.
Most importantly, continued Rudi, the entrepreneurs asked that government in setting UMK to pay attention for real value of inflation and economic growth that occurred in Batam City and attract more investors to Batam.
"Obviously, from government will provide the ease of licensing and the import of raw materials that can guarantee calm and comfort, also guarantee investment from the rampant disruption of street actions," he said.
