Most From Singapore, Batam Import Value in September 2019 Increases 20.16 Percent
Based one the data of Batam BPS, import value actually increased. They reveal, there an increase in the value of Batam City imports by 20.16 percent.
TRIBUNBATAM.id - In contrast to export value of Batam City which experienced decrease in September 2019, according to the data of Batam Central Statistics Agency (BPS), import value actually increased.
Head of Batam City BPS, Rahyudin revealed, there was an increase in the value of Batam City imports by 20.16 percent.
"The import value rose to reach US $ 780.77 million or an increase of 20.16 percent compared to imports in August 2019," he said, Tuesday (11/5/2019).

For imports in the oil and gas sector, Batam City BPS data shows a value of US $ 2.88 million, down by 66.81 percent when compared to August 2019.
While for non-oil and gas sector in September 2019, Rahyudin said it rose by 21.33 percent or reached US $ 777.89 million when compared to August 2019.
"During January to September 2019 the largest non-oil and gas imports came from the group of machinery or electrical equipment (85) with a value of US $ 1,781.35 million," he said.
While for the biggest supplier of imported goods in January to September 2019, Batam City BPS data shows that Singapore is ranked first with a value of US $ 2,404.04 million.
There are two biggest ports for loading and unloading of imported goods from January to September 2019 based on BPS Batam City data.
Batu Ampar Harbor was ranked first with an import value of US $ 3,904.21, followed by Sekupang Port with an import value of US $ 1,411.73 as well
