According to Syahril, Batam Medical Blockchain (BMB) seminar was widely seen as a huge success for the health industry innovation.
"Batam medical blockchain offers ideas, innovations or solutions for governments and businesses in health innovation with Healthcare Blockchain," Syahril said, in BP Batam Public Relations release received by Tribun on Tuesday (11/05/2019).
"BP Batam encourages everyone to innovate with us and dClinic," he added.
For Batam itself, Blockchain technology will be applied at BP Batam Hospital in Sekupang.
For Indonesian scale, Batam is the only region that will implement Blockchain technology in hospitals.
BP Batam and dClinic have formed a partnership for that.
The signing of collaboration was carried out last July followed by several other activities.
From this collaboration, the target is Batam can seize market share from abroad for health care centers.
At BMB seminar, dClinic CEO, Dr. Richard Satur outlined dClinic and BP Batam collaboration model and opportunities regarding the project.
In front of Singapore Government Blockchain Association (GBA) VIP guests, Richard also invited health professionals, consumers and professional care teams to take advantage of BMB.
"BMB has the potential to help Batam government and Indonesia make big savings on their growing health care budget. In addition, BMB will help the public and consumers get positive health care outcomes through engagement based on believable, reliable and available health service data through BMB, "said Richard Satur.
He believes that since the signing of Blockchain Healthcare project with value of US $ 140 million in Batam last July, there have been significant developments.
