TRIBUNBATAM.id - Indonesia government continues to support the growth and development of entrepreneurship, especially among students.
In line with Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Kemenristekdikti) policy direction.
One of them is to increase students entrepreneurial activities.
This aims to increase the economy in Indonesia.
As said by Director of Batam Polytechnic, Priyono Eko Sanyoto, when deliver welcoming speech on Indonesian Student Entrepreneurship Expo (KMI) agenda at Batam Polytechnic, Friday (11/22/2019) night.
"It is a challenge for all of us be able to use. Especially in Batam City, we still need startup industry that can provide support for other industries development," he said.

Beside that, the event is also an opportunity for Student Activity Units (UKM) be able to become partners for Batam City in preparing themselves become a tax free area.
Because, 1200 participants from all campuses in Indonesia took part in this agenda with theme 'Collaboration X'.
"We are ready to facilitate new startups become industrial partners in Batam," he continued.
This is in line with the delivery by Directorate General of Learning and Student Affairs (Ditjen Belmawa) Kemenristekdikti, Ismunandar.
For him, this national scale agenda is one of the most important things in opening up new jobs for every student in the future.
"In fact, many staff in the ministry today are young people who are successful with their unicorns or decacorns. This should be an example together, hopefully this agenda can produce the best young generation," he said.
He also said, if entrepreneurship becomes very important if it is accompanied by the seriousness and commitment of each group.
Especially today, many young entrepreneurs have succeeded and helped to improve the surrounding economy.
It is known, agenda of Indonesian Student Entrepreneurship (KMI) this time aims to increase the skills and abilities of every student in Indonesia.
By gathering together, it is hoped that the creation of creative ideas and innovations of each student can work towards one goal in order to build the best economy for Indonesia, especially Batam as the host.
Indonesian Student Entrepreneurship Expo (KMI) itself will take place until November 24, 2019.
With the participation of 105 tertiary institutions throughout Indonesia, a total of 1,200 participants have graced every tenant given a variety of interesting and innovative works from each campus.
A series of events were also carried out in KMI Expo activities such as Professional Launching, KMI Awards including the best entrepreneurs and the best tenants, entrepreneurial talk shows from startup practitioners, Polibatam Fair, to dance creations and musical poetry.
