TRIBUNBATAM.id - The Minister of Manpower (Menaker), Ida Fauziyah, reminded to all company leaders throughout Indonesia to implement a number of measures to anticipate and prevent the spread of Corona virus or Covid-19 in work environment.
Ida also asked the company to be more massive in socializing and educating about the causes and media of the Corona virus transmission, along with preventative measures.
"We continue to urge companies to remain vigilant and increase efforts to protect workers, employers themselves, and surrounding communities related to the Corona virus," Ida said in a statement on Wednesday (03/11/2020).
The steps include guidance and supervision of the legislation in the field of occupational safety and health (K3) in the effort to prevent Corona cases.
In addition, Ida said, both employers and workers, are encouraged to continue to carry out work activities and follow health procedures that have been socialized by the government.
She added, the government also requires company leaders throughout Indonesia to provide guaranteed labor protection facilities from the corona pandemic.

The intended protection guarantee is the availability of a number of protection facilities and the anticipation of the spread of the virus, in the form of masks, to hand washing facilities, in every office, factory and workplace throughout Indonesia.
"This is intended to maintain the calm and comfort of the workers in carrying out their duties," said Ida explained.
Previously, the Ministry of Manpower had issued a circular to employers in order to increase awareness and guarantee protection for their workers.
Meanwhile, in the context of maintaining economic stability, the Ministry of Manpower also runs an anticipation program for regions whose economic sectors are affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, in this case are tourism areas. (*)
