Till June 2019, 205 New Companies Enter Batam, Have Funded IDR 2 Trillion
Head of Investment Department or Dinas Penanaman Modal (DPM) told that there was an increase in investment value during 2019 from January to June.
TRIBUNBATAM.id - Head of Investment Department or Dinas Penanaman Modal (DPM) and One-Stop Integrated Services or Pelayanan Terpadu Satu Pintu (PTSP) of Batam City , Firmansyah on Wednesday (8/28/2019) afternoon revealed that there was an increase in investment value during 2019 precisely from January to June.
"For the period of January to June this year, BKPM has recorded 205 domestic investment companies or Perusahaan Penanaman Modal Dalam Negeri (PMDN) entering Batam. With the realization of investments totaling IDR 2 trillion. Yes, there has been an increase," Firmansyah said.
Allotment of foreign investment companies or Penanaman Modal Asing (PMA) for the period January-June 2019 totaled 642 companies with investment realization worth 409 million United States dollars.
PMA companies are currently in high demand on the machinery, electronics, medical instruments, electrical, optical and various clock industries.
"However, the biggest investment is in the transportation, warehouse and telecommunications sectors with an investment value of 136 million USD," he said.
When compared with the data in 2018, the investment realization for domestic investment companies is Rp. 3.1 trillion.
While for the PMA company the realization of investment worth 572 Million USD.
For prospective investors, there is currently no valid data, because there is a change in the system mechanism.
"Previously, the principle permit was known and entered through the Information Services System and Investment Licensing Electronically or Sistem Pelayanan Informasi dan Perizinan Investasi Secara Elektronik (SPIPISE) and from this principle permit we can find out the detail of profiles for potential investors," Firmansyah said.
Since the Online Single Submission System (OSS), aka electronic integrated business licensing, there have been fundamental changes.
Namely there are no more principle licenses and then replaced with Main Business Number and Business License (with or without commitment).
In the meantime, access to recap data of investment management is still through the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM).
"Because the OSS system is still improving ," he added. (tribunbatam.id/leo halawa)
