Mayor Rudi Leaks International Event That Will Be Held in Batam

The Mayor of Batam, Muhammad Rudi said that several international events will be held in Batam in the near future to develope Batam Tourism be better.

TRIBUNBATAM.id - The Mayor of Batam, Muhammad Rudi, took off the cultural parade at the Lubukbaja sub-district level, Saturday (8/31/2019) afternoon.

In his remarks, Rudi invited citizen of Batam to fill independence day with positive activities.

Especially if the aim is to increase economic growth.

"Filling in the economic side to change for be better, must be supported," said Rudi.

He also advised, that citizen of Batam could together guard Batam City.

Currently Batam Government is developing Batam Tourism.

"We prepare Batam tourism, so it can live and be known by wider community," he said.

On that occasion, Rudi also said that several international events will be held in Batam in the near future.

Among them are bodybuilding championship and tour guide activities that managing by Singapore.

Both are held at the Pacific Hotel Batam.

"This bodybuilding championship starts on September 27, there are 32 countries participating. We are ready to support it," said Rudi.

He also conveyed to the public directly, Masjid Sultan Mahmud Riayat Syah in Tanjunguncang, will not be  launch on 20 September.

Even so, this mosque has been opened to the public starting September 20.

"The work has not yet been completed. Because official launch was attended by state officials, the work must be finished. So the work will continue," he said.

"We are proud to have the fourth largest house of worship in Indonesia. That way our tourism will live," he continued.
