Tourists Visiting in Batam throughout September 2019 Again Increased

TRIBUNBATAM.id - The visit of foreign tourists to the city of Batam, in September 2019 again rose compared to the same month in the previous year.

The number of foreign tourists visiting in September 2019 was 160,293 visits. While in September 2018 there were only 153,944 foreign tourists visiting. 

The arrangement of the city by the Batam City Government under the leadership of Mayor Muhammad Rudi, successfully boosted the number of foreign tourist visit.

"Batam was developed into a tourism city, after the industry experienced a decline. The efforts made include managing the city. Roads are widened, pedestrians are built, parks are built, interesting photo spots are created, "said the Head of the Batam City Culture and Tourism Department, Ardiwinata, at Batam Center, Tuesday (11/05/2019). 

In addition to the government, the private sector also participates in increasing tourism. Not only building new destinations that are "up to date", but also holding interesting events for foreign tourists.

The number of foreign tourists visiting January-September 2019 was 1,431,166 visits. While the same period the previous year as many as 1,357,471 foreign tourists visit.
