TRIBUNBATAM.id - The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) confirmed the existence of information stating that on Sunday (3/22/2020) one of the pilots on a national private airline died.
General Director of Transportation, Novie Riyanto said, his party had taken various further steps to respond to this.
"As recommended by ICAO, WHO, the Indonesian Ministry of Health, Covid-19 Task Force, and Circular Letter of the General Director of Civil Aviation which has also been adopted by all national airlines into Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to follow-up if there's ODP and / or PDP ", he said in a written statement, Tuesday (03/24/2020).
The airline concerned as the operator has been tracking other personnel who may have interacted with the deceased within the past 14 days.
The personnel are directed to immediately conduct a medical examination and are asked to conduct self-quarantine, as the General Director of Civil Aviation Letter to the Aircraft Operator dated 5 February 2020, which refers to the protocol of the Ministry of Health.
In addition, in accordance with the Ministry of Health protocol stated in the Circular of the General Director of Civil Aviation number SE 4 of 2020 concerning Procedures for Handling Communicable Diseases.
Regarding the aircraft, disinfecting was sprayed under the direct supervision of KKP (Port Health Office) personnel, Aviation Safety Inspectors from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation and medical personnel from the Institute of Aviation Health.
"We at the Directorate General of Civil Aviation also continue to coordinate with all ministries / institutions, and will evaluate the steps we have taken to support the national movement in preventing the spread of Covid-19 in Indonesia", he said. (*)
