Opening of CGV Cinemas in Batam Wait for Government's Direction, Health Protocol Will Be Implemented

TRIBUNBATAM.id, BATAM - After New Normal order policy was put in Batam to drive the economy, some entertainment venues returned to operations.

Although most of the malls and entertainment centers are already open, but it is not seen in cinema venues in Batam.

Tribunbatam.id observations, some theaters are still closed and it is uncertain when it will reopen.

This was also confirmed by CGV Cinemas Public Relations Manager Hariman Chalid.

"So far there is no exact date, still waiting for direction from the Government related to the reopening of cinema," Hariman said when contacted by TribunBatam, Friday (07/03/2020).

Related to health protocol standards that must be applied, the cinema also has not had time to coordinate with Batam City Government.

However, the management itself has implemented the rules of its health protocol, namely:

1. Prepare staff with health certification

2. Regular health checks on staff every 2 weeks

3. Detecting body temperature, for visitors with a body temperature above or equal to 38 degrees Celsius are not allowed to enter

4. Visitors or staff with symptoms of cough, runny nose and shortness of breath are not allowed to enter / work

5. The obligation to wear masks in the cinema area

6. Staff working must wear adequate personal protective equipment

7. Implementation of physical distancing for all CGV staff and visitors

"When it comes to the capacity of cinema studios, and other technical matters, we are still waiting for direction from the Government," Hariman said.
