TRIBUNBATAM.id - The G20 delegates agreed that the preparation of the "Bali Guideline" would contribute to the global economic recovery centered on the tourism and creative economy sectors, as well as being able to create wider employment opportunities. 

The preparation of the Bali Guideline is one of the outcome documents of the implementation of the Tourism Working Group.

"Over the past two days, we have considered how to promote tourism recovery and make tourism more inclusive and resilient through the Bali guidelines and its five lines of action," said Chair of Tourism Working Group, Frans Teguh, in Labuan Bajo, NTT, Wednesday (05/11) night, as quoted from Kompas.com from a written statement. 

Later, the issues contained in the Bali Guidelines will be discussed again in the second Tourism Working Group Meeting to be mutually agreed upon at the Tourism Ministerial Meeting on September 26, 2022.

"We will ensure that tourism can create more and better jobs. Including by expanding technical and vocational education and training opportunities, changing the way we train in tourism," said Frans. 

5 lines of action

On that occasion, the G20 delegates expressed their opinions on the five lines of action which became the main focus of "The 1st Tourism Working Group" forum.

Among them are human capital issues related to work, skills, entrepreneurship, and education.

Delegates agreed to increase continuous reskilling and upskilling training.

In addition, the second line of action is innovation, digitalization, and the creative economy. The focus of the discussion is strengthening digitalization in the tourism sector and the creative economy.

The third line of action is women and youth empowerment.

On this issue, the focus is on better gender equality in terms of compensation and representation of women in leadership roles, and emphasizes the importance of training programs to support young entrepreneurs in tourism

Meanwhile, the fourth line of action is climate action, biodiversity conservations, and circular economy.

The delegation is committed to making global tourism sustainable.

The final line of action is the policy, governance and investment framework.

The focus of the G20 delegates was to emphasize the importance of collaboration to ensure that investment in tourism is an inclusive investment that benefits the whole community.
