Girimanik Mountain Camp, Spend the Night in the Cool Wonogiri Highlands

TRIBUNBATAM.id - Wonogiri Regency, Central Java has a cool highland area, precisely on the north side, such as Slogohimo, Bulukerto, and Girimarto Districts.

The area is cool because it is located on the slopes of the South Lawu Mountains with forests that are still so lush.

One of the new tourist attractions that can be visited to enjoy the cool air of Wonogiri on the north side is Girimanik Mountain Camp.

The location of Girimanik Mountain Camp is precisely in Ngerapah, Setren, Slogohimo District, Wonogiri Regency, Central Java.

From the center of Wonogiri Regency, the distance to Girimanik Mountain Camp is about 44 kilometers (km) with a travel time of approximately 1.5 hours.

The location of this tourist spot is in the same direction as the Girimanik Waterfall tourist area.

Located at an altitude of about 1,200 meters above sea level (masl), the air at Girimanik Mountain Camp is indeed very cool.

Its location at an altitude also makes the open panorama to the south clearly visible.

You can see the layered hills on the south side of Wonogiri.

Looking to the north side when the weather is sunny, you can see a stretch of green hills whose trees are so dense. 

Tourists can visit this place. Girimanik Mountain Camp is open from 08.00 WIB to 22.00 WIB.

The entrance ticket price for Girimanik Mountain Camp is IDR 5,000 for adults and IDR 3,000 for children.

There is an entrance ticket to the Girimanik tourist area, which is Rp. 2,000 per person and Rp. 2,000 for motorbikes. 

There is a restaurant that serves various menus, such as fried rice, ayam geprek, rib soup, soto, bakso (meatballs), and tilapia that can be ordered.

Camping at Girimanik Mountain Camp

According to the supervisor of Girimanik Mountain Camp, Kusmanto, the concept of this place is camping.

It provides 11 wooden cottages with two beds (glamping) and tent rentals. The bathroom is outside because the concept is camping. 

“For glamping, on weekends the price is IDR 300,000.

For Monday to Friday, we will discount 25 percent to Rp 225,000," said Kusmanto

The cottages at Girimanik Mountain Camp can accommodate 2 adults.

For men and women who want to stay overnight, they must be married and proven by an ID card or marriage book.

If they are not married, they are prohibited from being in one cottage.

In addition, tourists who stay overnight are also not allowed to bring alcoholic drinks.
