TRIBUNBATAM.id - Since yesterday, WhatsApp group to social media was enlivened with questions whether Batam would be the location of Indonesian Citizens (WNI) return from Wuhan, China which is currently under attack by Corona virus.
Although it has not been decided yet and the final meeting will be held today, Saturday (1/2/2020), but diverse reactions from the community began to be seen.
Not a few who expressed rejection and some even stated it by issuing the release of refusal statement for a certain reason.
So, is it true that Batam has become the preferred place of return for Indonesian Citizens who will be evacuated by Indonesian Air Force in Wuhan Province, China?
So far, Riau Islands provincial government has coordinated with the central government and does not yet know what Indonesian Government's reasons for choosing Batam as a repatriation place for Indonesians from Wuhan.

According to Tjetjep so far they have also coordinated with KKP.
The government plans to repatriate Indonesian Citizens in Wuhan China to Indonesia via Batam.
The repatriation of Indonesian Citizens from Wuhan was linked to Corona virus outbreak.
Head of Riau Islands Health Department Tjetjep Yudiana claimed to get information about returning Indonesian Citizens from Wuhan to Indonesia via Batam.
Tjetjep got information from the Ministry of Transportation.
"As health workers we are ready to prevent a deterrent. We have coordinated with KKP," said Tjetjep when contacted.
The latest information that Tjetjep received was the arrival of Indonesian Citizens from Wuhan on 2 February at 02.00 WIB.
Riau Islands Provincial Government (Kepri) together with Batam City Government (Pemkot) Batam, Riau Islands Port Health Office (KKP), a joint health team and a number of related parties met at Batam KKP Office.
Head of Batam City Health Office, Didi Kusumarjadi, said that a number of decisions would be made at the meeting.
The main readiness of Batam if later designated as the entrance of Chinese citizens from China.

Airport Business Entity Director (BUBU) Hang Nadim Batam Suwarso claimed not to get information related to the repatriation of Indonesian Citizens who were in Wuhan to Batam.

When confirmed whether there was already a coordination from Director General of Civil Aviation related to that matter, he still revealed the same thing.
"Not yet," he said curtly
Separately confirmed to Head of Public Relations in Riau Islands Police Chief Commissioner Harry Goldenhardt related there has been no coordination from the relevant authorities for the arrival of Indonesian Citizens from Wuhan, China.
"Until now I have not received valid data related to that (letter)," he said.
