UPDATE: Record 1,385 of New Cases of Covid-19, Equivalent to June 27

TRIBUNBATAM.id - Indonesia again recorded the highest addition of Covid-19 daily cases in a day based on data announced on Wednesday (1/7/2020).

In the past 24 hours, an additional 1,385 positive patients with Covid-19 were recorded. 

Based on Kompas.com's notes from the latest government data, this figure is the highest number of new cases since the first Covid-19 case was announced by President Joko Widodo on March 2, 2020. 

With these additions, Government Spokesperson for Corona Virus Handling, Achmad Yurianto revealed, there were a total of 57,770 Covid-19 cases in the country.

"We have positive new cases confirmed by 1,385 people, making it 57,770 people," Yuri said in a press conference from Graha BNPB, Wednesday afternoon. 

The addition of 1,385 new cases is the result of the examination of 21,738 specimens.

This addition number equals the highest number of additions on June 27, which also recorded 1,385 new cases.

At that time, Covid-19 cases in Indonesia reached 52,812 cases.

Achmad Yurianto also announced an increase in the number of patients who recovered until July 1, 2020, by 789 people. Thus, the total number of patients cured to date has been 25,595.

Then, the number of deaths increased by 58, so that, Covid-19 patients who died as many as 2,934 people.

As for the Covid-19 case to date which is spread in 34 provinces or all provinces in Indonesia.

Specifically, there are 451 districts/cities affected by Covid-19 from 34 provinces. This number increased by two regions compared to yesterday's data.

Yuri also announced that there were still 45,192 people under surveillance (ODP) and 13,296 patients under surveillance (PDP) to date. (*)
