Because of Covid-19, People's Income has Decreased, Inequality is Increasing
The Central Statistics Department (BPS) reported an increase in the level of population inequality or the Gini ratio in March 2020. See the details.

If distinguished by region, in March 2020 the percentage of expenditure in the lowest 40 percent population in urban areas was 16.93 percent.
Meanwhile, the percentage of expenditure in the lowest 40 percent population group in rural areas was recorded at 20.62 percent.
Accordingly, according to World Bank criteria, urban areas are classified as moderate, while rural areas are classified as low. (*)
