Mount Anak Krakatau (GAK) erupted again. The height of the ash column reaches 1,500 meters from the summit. The eruption occurred today, Friday (4/22)
The ash from the eruption is gray to black, leading to the southwest.

Furthermore, according to a report on April 18, 2022, at 07.14 WIB, Mount Anak Krakatau erupted again with a height of ash reaching 700 meters from the top, with black ash.
The maximum amplitude is 60 mm with a duration of 1 minute 37 seconds.
The next eruption, still on the same date, occurred at 11.04 WIB with a height of ash reaching 700 meters from the summit.
The gray ash headed southwest, with a maximum amplitude of 45 mm and a duration of 1 minute 45 seconds.
Another eruption occurred on April 18 at 12:46 WIB with a height of the ash column reaching 700 meters from the peak.
The maximum amplitude of 47 mm and a duration of 53 seconds emits gray ash towards the southwest.
BMKG recommends that the public, tourists and fishermen are prohibited from approaching within a radius of 2 kilometers.
