Immigration Trials Multiple Entry Visas, Foreigners Can Easily Enter and Leave Indonesian Territory

The Directorate General of Immigration is conducting another trial of Visit Visas for Multiple Trips or multiple entry visas starting Tuesday (22/11).

TRIBUNBATAM.id - The Directorate General of Immigration is conducting another trial of Visit Visas for Multiple Trips or multiple entry visas starting Tuesday (22/11/2022).

Previously, this visa was closed due to the pandemic.

Multiple entry visa is a type of visa that allows foreign nationals to enter and leave Indonesia for a year.

Every time they enter Indonesian territory, they can stay for 60 days.

For information, multiple entry visas cannot be used to work in Indonesia, but can be used to carry out a number of activities, namely tourism, business, meetings, government assignments, purchasing goods, humanitarian reasons, and transit.

This trial aims to support global business people, potential investors and the world's billionaires to make it easier to go back and forth to Indonesia, including those with high mobility.

Foreign business people applying for multiple entry visas must have a guarantor in the form of a corporation or company in Indonesia.

Requirements for submitting multiple entry visas

Submission of multiple entry visas can be made by the guarantor online via visa-online.imigration.go.id or through Indonesian representatives abroad. 

The requirements that must be completed to apply for a multiple entry visas are:

1. Valid national passport and valid for at least 18 months.

2. Letter of guarantee from the guarantor, except for tourist visits.

3. Proof of having living expenses for himself and/or his family while in Indonesian territory in the form of a checking account, savings book, or deposit for the last three months belonging to a foreigner or guarantor in an amount of at least 2,000 US dollars. 

4. Return ticket or onward ticket to continue the trip to another country, except for the transportation equipment crew who will stop by to join the ship and continue the trip to another country.

5. A recent color photograph taken at least in the last three months with a white background.
